Carlos H. Ochoa (Charlie) is a municipal judge in McAllen, TX, where he has served more than 16 years. He graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 1988. He received a B.B.A. in Finance and later went to law school at The University of Oklahoma. He served as president of the Spanish American Law School Association (SALSA) during his tenure there. In 1991 he obtained his Juris Doctorate, and since then has been striving to help individuals in the McAllen, TX area.

Charlie has 28 years of experience supporting clients with family law issues, including assisting individuals in having their affairs in order in the form of preparing a legally valid will and helping clients resolve their differences through mediation. Some of his other experiences include providing legal support for elders, representing plaintiffs, and working in insurance defense. Charlie also has several distinctions in the field. Notably, he is a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, which very few people have the opportunity to join. Additionally, he has been featured in the American Bar Journal and was chosen as a Texas Rising Super Lawyer.

Charlie strives to use his position as a lawyer to help the community at large. As such, he uses his influence in the legal system to help better the lives of others. His dedication to providing excellent service and giving back to the community help to set him apart.
